I completely agree Adeus has some kind of magic or a mind-confusing drug/scent/something. And he started using it on Rebecca because it didn’t seem to work on Sasha.

Exactly!!! Also Rebecca never gave any new info or expanded on their history. She only repeated what Adeus previously said. Dude definitely used magic on her.

this is giving me anxiety. will this go on for much longer? if i was there i’d feel so threatened by the creep that i would have stabbed him or ran him over with the carriage like ten times already.

This whole exchange has me feeling queasy. Whatever magic, mind control he’s using obviously does not work on Sasha, but it did work Rebecca, and the guards.
I don’t like this Adeus person, and now he’s implying that Sasha is in an entanglement with him!! To her husband!! So gross.

Ok ok ok, so aside from feeling grossed out over the blonde guy (I mean seriously, guys creepy af) i honestly think Rebbeca, is in on it, shes pushy. Is magic involved I mean it wouldn’t surprise me, but Rebecca is in on it.

The fact that he wanted to forcibly enter the carriage just makes me think that he wanted to be seen leaving that carriage to make some rumors about the duchess. When the husband appeared, it was just a change of plans but still the same purpose. Utterly disgusting!!

Tbh, at this point I feel a bit annoyed by Rebecca. It is either she is too naive or she don’t know how to read her lady mind at all because it is obvious that our heroine want to get the heck out of the situation since the beginning.
